Founded in 2006, SUTAMS operates under the Moogambigai Charitable and Educational Trust, part of the Rajarajeswari Group of Institutions.
It is approved by the National Medical Commission (formerly MCI) and affiliated with Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS).
